Who condemns you

Jesus stood up and said to her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" John 8:10
This story is where a woman caught in adultery was brought to Jesus for judgement. Jesus says, he who has not sinned should cast the first stone. All of those who condemned this woman leaves one at a time. Notice, Jesus does not condemn or judge her.

Judgement, condemnation comes from the ego. It comes from the self and or it comes from others. We feel better about ourselves when we judge others. However we are commanded by Christ, not to judge.

Christ and God, do not judge us, they forgive us and remove all guilt and shame. We are free to live, a life free of shame and guilt and to offer that same freedom and redemption to others in Christ's name. Judge not or you will be judged. Only we can bring judgement. On ourselves or others.

Let yourself free from the past, and let others go free to. When you forgive others, you are the one set free!

Perfection

I demonstrate every day my personal imperfections. In myself, left just to myself and ego, I fall very short of the glory of God. However as discussed earlier this week, we are not alone. God has not called us to perfection, but to wholeness. Our wholeness, completeness, and perfecting process is found in Him, which is in Christ. He was tested and tempted in every way life us, however he passed, where we fail. But then He did one of the most extraordinary things, He gave us the gift of his standing, His righteousness and He took our failures, our weakness, our past. What a trade.

In Him we have everything that we need for abundant life. All we need is a mind shift, a different mind set. What story do you tell yourself. What negative talk does your ego (false self) keep rehearsing. This. Is not your story. We have a new story, an new script.

We are not perfect, but we are better, and we are continuing to get better!

Look for the Grace of God today, to lift you out of the old mind set, and set you higher into the abundant life!

It is what it is!

This is one of my favorite, statements. Because it is the beginning of change. I first must face what is the truth. Then I can begin to change.

Human beings are masters of disconnect. We like to put off anything that may make us uncomfortable. Jamie Buckingham, a pastor and writer, I loved, once wrote a book titled, " The Truth Will Set You Free, But First It Will Make You Miserable." I loved that title.

The first step to transforming your life and being free, it facing the truth.

Here are several tactics or traps we fall into with the ego, to block this from happening:

Denial- there is no problem, or need for change.

Projection- you are the problem, or let's focus on your problems.

Disassociation- you disconnect from the problem or issue. It's not my problem.

Addiction- lets cover, medicate or numb ourselves from the problem with busyness, food, sex, relationship etc...anything that can distract.

The solution, Get Real Honest with God, yourself and others. Life and true spirituality always involves all three relationships. God, myself and others.
